Minimum experience level for Gold Seal certification will increase from 3 to 5 years beginning January 1, 2009. Applications received before January 1, 2009, will not be affected.
-
Also beginning in January 2009, Gold Seal will recognize all construction management training, regardless of duration. Current guidelines disallow most courses under 6 hours. The requirement for at least three 30-hour courses will also be removed. National Gold Seal Committee members made the change recognizing that company-delivered training in particular has increased in variety and intensity, while the availability of distance learning has also improved dramatically over the past few years.
-
In concert with these guideline revisions, Gold Seal will move quickly to modernize its application processes. Forms and guidelines will be redesigned and on-line application avenues will be offered.
