$450,000 Worth of Construction Loaders Stolen
2009-03-30

Thieves stole nine skid steer loaders from a Brampton company this week,

prompting Peel police to advise those in the industry to use caution when

buying construction equipment.

The brand new loaders are valued between $360,000 and $450,000, according

to police. They were taken from a business on Clark Boulevard some time

overnight Monday. Employees discovered the theft when they arrived for work

Tuesday morning.

The stolen machines are Orange Case 400 series models. Police are reminding

those in the construction business that being in possession of the machines

is a crime, so anyone purchasing construction equipment should do so from a

reputable source.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Commercial Auto Crime Bureau

at 905-453-3311, ext. 3313, or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at

1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
