Aerial Lift

This 75-minute course focuses on the safe operation of self-propelled elevated work platforms and self-propelled boom supported elevated work platforms.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Aerial Lift certification after completing the course. You need to sign the certificate and verify that you completed a hands-on practical evaluation at your facility.

Who needs this course

You are required to take this course if you:

  • Operate an aerial lifting device
  • Supervise workers who operate an aerial lifting device
  • Inspect an aerial device work area as a Health and Safety Committee Member

If you operate an aerial lift, you may be required to complete working at heights training as well.

Regulations

This course meets all of the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.

Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA)

This 25-minute course will introduce and explain the AODA standards. It will teach you to support the needs of people with disabilities and ensure that you comply with the AODA.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.

Who needs this course

All workers and supervisors are required to take this course.

Confined Space Awareness

This 60-minute course teaches the potential hazards of working in confined spaces and ways to control these hazards prior to entry.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a 2-year Confined Space certificate. You will also get one Gold Seal credit for successfully completing this course.

Who needs this course

You should receive this training if you:

  • Enter confined spaces
  • Are responsible for rescue or recovery from confined spaces
  • Are a Safety Attendant to a confined space
  • Supervise an area that contains a confined space

Regulations

This course meets the Confined Spaces regulations that are part of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Manager Due Diligence

This 60-minute course teaches you how to develop both a strong health and safety program and an effective safety management system.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Due Diligence certification for completing the course.

This course meets the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.

Fire Safety Training

This 45-minute course teaches you to prevent fires in the workplace and focuses on the basic elements of fire protection.

Certification

You will earn a 2-year Fire Safety certification after completing the course.

This course meets the Fire Protection and Prevention Act regulations.

H2S Awareness

This 90-minute course teaches you where H2S gas is commonly found, how to detect its presence and the steps that you must take to ensure everyone's safety.

Who needs this training

This course is for anyone who works in proximity to Hydrogen Sulphide. Additional training in CPR and the use of respirators may be necessary if you work in direct contact with H2S.

Regulations

This course meets the Oil and Gas regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Incident Investigation Training

This 60-minute course teaches you how to prevent accidents in the workplace. Incident investigations help uncover the root causes of accidents and are important to prevention.

Certification

You will receive a 3-year Incident Investigation certification after completing the course.

Who needs this training

This course is for managers, supervisors, Joint Health and Safety Committee members, and Safety Representatives that must investigate workplace incidents.

This course meets the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.

Ladder Safety

This 45-minute course teaches proper ladder safety to prevent workplace injuries. If you use a ladder at work, you are required to take this training.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Ladder Safety certificate after completing this course.

This course meets the Industrial Establishment regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Forklift and Lift Truck Training

This 75-minute course teaches you the hazards, safety procedures and stability principles associated with operating a forklift.

Certification

You will receive a 3-year Forklift - Lift Truck certificate after completing the course. You will need to sign the certificate and verify that you had a hands-on practical evaluation at your facility.

Regulations

This course meets the Industrial Establishment regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Lockout – Tagout Training

This 45-minute course teaches you the hazards associated with uncontrolled energy and the proper methods of controlling energy through a lockout program.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Lockout certificate after completing this course.

This course meets the Industrial Establishment regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Manual Material Handling (MMH) Training

This 45-minute course will explore the common causes of musculoskeletal disorders. It will teach you how to handle material in the workplace without injury.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Manual Material Handling certificate after completing this course.

National Construction Safety Awareness Training

This course will give you a general overview of the health and safety issues that you will face on any construction work site in Canada.

Gold Seal accreditation

You will get two Gold Seal credits after completing this course.

Office Ergonomics Training

This 45-minute course identifies the risk factors associated with poor ergonomic positioning and the controls to prevent musculoskeletal disorders from occurring.

Certification

You will receive a 2-year Office Ergonomics certificate after completing this course.

Regulations

This course meets the Health Protection and Promotion Act regulations.

Pipeline Construction Safety Training

This course will take you through the entire pipeline construction process from start to finish and teach you how to respond to work site health and safety issues.

Certification

You will receive a 5-year Pipeline Construction Safety Training certificate after completing the course. You need to get a grade of 100% in the course to receive the certification.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training

This 75-minute course teaches you the hazards and regulatory requirements associated with the transportation of dangerous goods.

Certification

After completing the course, you will receive a 3-year TDG certificate. You can't transfer this certification to a new employer and will need to retake the course if you change employers.

Who needs this course

This course is required for all companies that ship by road or rail.

Regulations

This course meets the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act regulations.

Workers Health Industrial Management Information System (WHMIS) Training

This 60-minute course teaches you how to properly handle, identify and label hazardous materials in the workplace.

Certification

You will receive a 1-year WHMIS certificate after completing this course.

Who needs this course

Any worker who comes in contact with, or may come in contact with, controlled substances or hazardous materials should take this course.

Regulations

This course meets the WHMIS regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Workplace Inspection

This 60-minute course will take you through the four components of a workplace inspection:

  1. Preparation
  2. Inspection
  3. Reporting
  4. Follow-up

It will teach you to recognize, assess and control workplace hazards.

You will receive a 3-year Workplace Inspection certification after completing this course. You need to sign the certificate and verify that you've done a hands-on practical evaluation at your facility.

Workplace Violence and Harassment

This 50-minute course will introduce and define the terms associated with workplace violence and harassment. It will also teach you how to identify, report and control undesirable behaviours in the workplace.

Who needs this course

Everyone in an organization must abide by policies relating to workplace violence and harassment. This includes workers, supervisors, managers and administrators.
