The overall objective of the project is to rehabilitate and retrofit 28 four-bedroom purpose-built student housing units to accommodate six barrier-free studio units, as many one-bedroom units that can be accommodated within the upset limit, with the remaining units converted to three-bedroom units, and one general office space. The design-build upset limit including cash allowances and all other costs required to complete the project is $2,700,000.00 (excluding HST). It is the City’s intention to use the entire budgeted allocation and to receive the most amount of units and best possible value for the budgeted amount.
