Employers completing a Record of Employment. (ROE)

• Use Code D if your employee was sick or quarantined.
• Use Code A if there is a company shut down or a shortage of work. (Related to COVID19)
• Use Code N for leave of absence.
• Code E for quit if they are not working for any reasons linked to COVID-19.

Employment Social Development Canada (ESDC) advises not to include details unless absolutely necessary.
The Federal Government announced that the one week waiting period has been waived for new claimants who are quarantined.
