The Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) was formed in 1974 when the Guelph Construction Association and the Kitchener-Waterloo Construction Association merged to form one unified organization. We exist to create a supportive environment where we advocate, promote and collaborate on behalf of our members. Whether the issue is local, provincial or national, the GVCA helps members handle challenges, legalities and legislative requirements of the construction industry.
Our name represents the geographic reach of the association, which includes:
- Brant Country
- Dufferin County
- Grey County
- Wellington County
- Judicial District of Norfolk
- Judicial District of Haldimand
- Regional Municipality of Waterloo
- Regional Municipality of Halton
Our Electronic Plans Room membership gives members access to project information and bidding opportunities in the geographic area of Zone 2, covering London to Milton, to Niagara and Halton Region, and north to Owen Sound. Other Zones are available for an additional cost.
We've benefited greatly throughout our history from the outstanding leadership of our past Chairs, a diverse and knowledgeable group of professionals in their field.
To show our appreciation to the member businesses and leaders in the industry, the GVCA hosts celebration events to recognize their accomplishments at our Business Excellence Awards, Heritage Recognition tributes, and Hall of Fame inductions.
