WinC DeConstructed Series
In an industry where women make up roughly 5% of the room, being present is not the same as being heard.
Influence is not simply about having a seat at the table; it is about knowing how to use that seat, build meaningful relationships, and create space for others to do the same.
Event Highlights
• Meaningful Connection: Build authentic relationships with like-minded women who understand the unique experiences of working in construction.
• Shared Experiences: Engage in open, supportive conversations where stories, challenges, and successes can be shared in a safe and empowering environment.
• Learning from Leaders and peers: Hear from and connect with women who are paving the way and shaping the industry's future.
• Light Lunch Provided: Enjoy a casual lunch in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere designed for connection.
This WinC DeConstructed event is all about connection—creating space to come together, lift each other up, and continue building a stronger, more connected industry.
Next Lunch
Join us on October 15 for the next Women in Construction deConstructed session, led by Lesley Hawkins, leadership developer and keynote speaker, for a practical, hands-on session on strategic influence and allyship.
Together, we will explore Lesley's Three Channels of Influence framework: how to recognize and enlist the allies already around you, build influence with intention, and navigate rooms where you may be the minority. Just as importantly, we will look at what it means to be a true ally, and how both women and men can use their influence to open doors, amplify voices, and create more inclusive workplaces. You will leave with a completed Influence Map, a concrete plan for one decision you want to move forward in the next 60 days.
Because shaping the room is not just about who gets a seat at the table. It is about what happens once you are there, and who you bring with you.
About the Speaker:
Lesley Hawkins spent 30 years building a career in the sporting goods industry, leading teams for iconic brands including adidas, Reebok, TaylorMade, Titleist, and FootJoy, and rising to VP Retail at adidas Canada, where she led 1,200 associates through post-pandemic recovery. For most of that career, she was one of the only women in the room, and she learned the hard way that fitting in and standing out require very different kinds of courage. Today, as a keynote speaker, leadership developer, and host of The Lesley Hawkins Podcast, she helps women and emerging leaders find the courage to define and own their worth. From the price of silence to the courage to ask, the confidence to lead, and what it takes to become an unapologetic leader, Lesley shares her own experience so others can lead their careers and their lives on their own terms.
